Sun Peaks is looking for Sun Host Volunteers for the upcoming Summer 2026. This volunteer role is an opportunity to work with Sun Peaks Resort and Grand Hotel guests both in the village and at the top of the chairlifts, providing insights and guidance into activities within the area. Physical Requirement: Light; predominantly in an outdoor setting

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Skills you bring with you:

• No specific certifications are required.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 100 hours per season required to uphold volunteer status.
• Proficient use of spoken English.
• Outstanding verbal communication skills with all age groups of guests.
• Polished interpersonal and motivational skills and highly organized.
• Legally able to work in Canada from June until September 2026.
• Willing to submit to a criminal record check.
• Undertake required duties as per Sun Peaks Resort LLP training procedures.

Physical Demands:

• Able to work safely and diligently outside in all weather conditions.
• High degree of physical fitness. Free of injuries that may obstruct duties.

Preferred Attributes:

• Familiarity with Sun Peaks environment, both on the hill and in the village.
• Second language skills are an asset (e.g. German or Spanish).
• Several seasons working or volunteering in the tourism industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Base area information (Around and inside the VDL, Guest Services and Parking Drop-Off area).
• Lift Top information (Top of the lifts assisting guests with their trail choices etc.).
• Operate according to code of conduct and values statement of SPR LLP and the Sports School.
