Ski & Board Repair Technician - Winter Seasonal

Department: SPR - Rental & Retail
Location: Sun Peaks, BC
Position Type: Winter Season

Are you skilled with people and enjoy working on ski or snowboard equipment? We’re hiring Repair Technicians for the upcoming winter season. As a Ski & Snowboard Repair Technician, you’ll be responsible for repairing equipment for customers and resort staff, ensuring that repairs are completed efficiently and meet all needs. Additional duties include managing the day-to-day operations of the repair shop, handling cash transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Compensation Information:

$18-75 – $23.25 per hour

Physical Requirement:

Medium: Work activities involve handling loads between 10 and 20 kg, predominately in an indoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Accountabilities:

  • Repair and maintenance of all ski and snowboard equipment
  • Adherence to all SPRC WorkSafeBC procedures, WHMIS policies
  • Ensure all operational and safety procedures are being followed
  • Day-to-day operation of the repair shop
  • Cleaning and organization of the shop
  • Following SPRC cash handling procedures
  • Assisting in the rental shop as required

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a ski and snowboard repair shop
  • Outgoing, friendly personality, with the ability to work with the guest under pressure and in routine situations
  • Must be able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
  • Thorough knowledge of binding adjustments and repairs
  • Experience using binding test equipment
  • Experience with Wintersteiger stone grinder/extruder
