Retail Associate - Winter Seasonal

Department: SPR - Rental & Retail
Location: Sun Peaks, BC
Position Type: Winter Season

Are you passionate about skiing or snowboarding? Do you enjoy interacting with people and have a knack for conversation? We are hiring Retail Associates for the upcoming winter season. As a Retail Associate, you'll assist customers with their shopping, answer questions, and help with daily store operations. You’ll represent our retail brand and contribute to the store’s success. Compensation Information:

$18.75 per hour

Physical Requirement:

Light, work activities involve handling loads of 5 kg but less than 10 kg; Predominately in an indoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Accountabilities:

  • Greet customers when they arrive at the store and ask if they need assistance
  • Process sales transactions at the POS (point-of-sale) counter
  • Suggest upselling items to customers based on the items they have chosen
  • Replace merchandise on the shelves, paying particular attention to displays
  • Regularly change displays and remerchandise the store
  • Ensures availability of merchandise by managing and maintaining inventories
  • Keep window displays up to date with current events in the resort
  • Provide resort information to guests
  • Maintain cleanliness of the store and proper storage of all products and fixtures
  • Be a continuous ambassador for Sun Peaks Resort and all activities and events throughout the winter season

Ideal Candidate:

  • Professional, fun, and friendly personality, with the ability to build enthusiasm with guests under pressure and in routine situations
  • Neat, tidy, and well organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations
  • Experience and a good understanding of a POS system
  • Enjoy the mountains and outdoors
  • Well-presented and a team player
