Are you good with people and like working on ski or snowboard equipment? We are looking to hire Rental Technicians for the upcoming winter season. The Ski Rental Technician Sales Associate is responsible for fitting ski/snowboard equipment to the customer, ensuring customer needs are met, and service is quick and efficient. Further responsibilities include providing products and displays that are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability. Compensation Information:

$18.75 per hour

Physical Requirement:

Medium, work activities involve handling loads between 10 and 20 kg, predominately in an indoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Accountabilities:

• Greet guests as they enter the rental shop
• Ensure that guests accurately complete appropriate rental forms and liability waivers
• Find proper boot fit for each customer to create a positive slope experience
• Recommend ski/board length and make sure bindings are set correctly for skill level
• Provide resort information to guests
• Check returned rentals for damages
• Stay up to date with resort promotions pertinent to the rental shop
• Pre-set and manage the flow of schools and other pre-booked groups
• Load and sell RFID tickets to new and returning guests
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop and proper storage of all equipment
• Assist with the adjoining retail store as required
• Process sales for rental and retail through the POS system
• Be a continuous ambassador for Sun Peaks Resort and all activities and events throughout the winter season

Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Professional, fun, and friendly personality, with the ability to build enthusiasm with guests under pressure and in routine situations
• Neat, tidy, and well organized with the ability to multi-task
• Experience and a good understanding of a POS system
• Experience with repair, adjustment and maintenance of skis and snowboards
• Hard-working, efficient staff member who pays close attention to guest safety
• Enjoy the mountains and outdoors
• Well-presented and a team player
