The Groups and Race Lead will be involved with the successful execution of the Nancy Greene Race Centre and the Slopeside School program. Reporting to the Groups and Race Centre Coordinator, the role involves acting as a link between Sun Peaks Resort LLP and different groups, such as schools, corporate clients, and First Nations communities. This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, customer service experience, and a willingness to learn. This role may involve working outdoors for short periods of time in varying weather conditions and require flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays. Compensation Information:

$21.85 per hour plus a seasonal retention bonus of $1 per hour worked.

Physical Requirement:

Light to moderate, Indoors and Outdoors. Possible on-mountain race-course duties.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Accountabilities:

The role will involve working very closely with the Groups and Race Centre Coordinator, job duties will include:

• Arranging tickets with Race Teams and coordinating delivery to accommodations.
• Assist teams with last-minute changes to their tickets/lanes
• Coordinate School & TO groups arriving in the resort, including welcoming groups as they arrive and ensuring all guest touchpoints are delivered seamlessly. This may include assisting groups through rentals and delivering them to the on-snow coordinator
• Maintain an excellent working relationship with Guest Services, Patrol, Sports School, Rentals, Food & Beverage, Lift Operations and occasionally outside operations
• Coordinate with hotel accommodations regarding Group bookings
• Maintain expert knowledge of resort offerings, including accommodation, dining, mountain activities and third-party offerings
• Input groups and Race Centre bookings into POS system RTP and email invoices to groups before arrival
• Standard working hours are 7:45 am – 4:30 pm, but early starts will be required on some days

The demands for Groups and Race Lead Role will change throughout the season. In times of low work in Groups and Race centre, the successful candidate will work on the Sports School Sales desk

Ideal Candidate:

• Must be able start from October 1^st, 2024.
• Outstanding interpersonal and motivational skills
• Outstanding computer skills: POS systems, Microsoft computer systems, electronic business systems
• Outstanding cash handling skills; Sales Transaction reconciliation, daily cash outs
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly organized, accurate, and detail orientated
• Proven track record in Guest Service and as a team- -player
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Good working knowledge of current WorkSafe BC standards
• Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in RTP
